Unter Javiers einfühlsamer Anleitung tanzen und schweben wir sowohl im Studio als auch im 33°C warmen Thermal-Wasser. Contact Tango in Water bietet ein besonders nachhaltiges und einprägsames Flow-Gefühl und eignet sich für Tänzer*innen mit und ohne Erfahrungen in Contact-Improvisation, Tango Argentino oder anderen Tanzstilen. Einzige Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme sind die Freude am Tanzen und eine Affinität zum Wasser.

Das Tanzen im Wasser hat einige Besonderheiten und bietet viele unbeschwerte Möglichkeiten: Wir können ohne Angst vor Verletzungen Spiralen, Hebungen, Rollen oder auch ganz einfache Bewegungen zur Erdung und zum Gehen durchführen. Um diese Möglichkeiten mühelos und genussvoll auskosten zu können, sind grundlegende Erfahrungen „an Land“ eine gute Vorbereitung. Deshalb beginnen wir an beiden Tagen vormittags im Studio und sind nachmittags im Wasser. Wir haben genügend Zeit, dass erfahrenere Wasser- CI TänzerInnen Neues erleben und Bekanntes vertiefen können und wenig Erfahrene entspannt einsteigen können.

Javier Cura ist der Begründer der Bewegungsmethode Body Ecology , deren Anwendung sich auf physikalisches Theater, Kontakt Improvisation, Tango und somatische Bewegung be- zieht. Er lehrte und performte in Tanz Theater, Contact Improvisation und Tango Festivals weltweit. Gemeinsam mit der Freien Universität Berlin hat er an einer Recherche über den Ausdruck in Contact Improvisation zusammengearbeitet und wurde vom Royal London Hospi- tal eingeladen, eine palliative Bewegungsbehandlung für Patienten mit Sichelzellanämie zu entwickeln. Darüber hinaus entwickelt er soziale Theaterprojekte in Italien, Marokko und Deutschland.

Therefore we start in the studio on both mornings and are in the water in the afternoon. We have enough time so that more experienced water CI dancers can experience new things and deepen the familiar, and that less experienced people can relax and get on board.

Javier Cura is the founder of the Body Ecology movement method, which applies to physical theater, contact improvisation, tango and somatic movement. He has taught and performed in dance theater, contact improvisation and tango festivals worldwide. Together with the Free University of Berlin, he collaborated on research into expression in contact improvisation and was invited by the Royal London Hospital to develop palliative movement treatment for patients with sickle cell anemia. He also develops social theater projects in Italy, Morocco and Germany.
