We warmly invite you to another Long Jam weekend for Contact Improvisation in Leipzig South. This time on: May 29th – June 1st, 2025!

A Long Jam is like a festival full of jams. There is also room for exchange, bodywork every day and a room to relax. A Long Jam is just right for you if you like dancing Contact Impro. There are no workshops to learn, but you already bring experience with you.

Four jams have live music and most have a warm-up.

There will be tea, coffee and a few snacks in the cozy kitchen. You will have to take care of your own accommodation and physical needs. You are welcome to have a picnic together during the breaks using whatever you have brought with you! Restaurants and a supermarket are nearby, and the lunch and evening breaks are 1.5 hours.

All ages and bodies are welcome. The rooms are easily accessible. Please speak to us in advance if you have special needs.

Children have the opportunity to come in for free and we support you parents*, e.g. you can network in advance and plan activities together. There is a playground and the forest on the doorstep.

We think: every jam is an opportunity to practice consensual contact!

We try to keep the price level as low as possible. As a guide: If everyone pays €75, this just about covers the total costs. €120 per person also enables fair compensation for the organizers. If you can contribute more than €120, we can also provide a few solidarity places for people in precarious living situations.

Consent Team
We all organize a jam. If we join in, we can see how and if others want to dance with us. We can also keep an eye on the entire room: does it feel safe for everyone? Is it possible for everyone to have space to dance?

At each jam, there will be 1 to 3 people who are approachable (and recognizable) if you see or experience situations that feel uncomfortable for you. The consent team is intended as a supportive structure. We all still carry the jam together.

The consent team consists of people who are willing to listen to you without judging your experience and to offer you (emotional) support when you need it. The consent are volunteers among the participants who are given a guide. The consent team will probably also dance during the jam, but they are prepared to interrupt their own dance at any time to do their job and lend you an ear. Please feel free and welcome to speak to the team at any time!
