We will work on integrating the upper and lower body in our dance practice, connecting limbs, pelvis, thorax, and head through various specific perspectives. Special attention will be given to the role of the diaphragm, lower chest, and thoracolumbar junction. These areas are crucial for the transition and flow of movement both upwards and downwards, acting as central hubs for spiral movements. We will examine myofascial connections through the lens of Chinese Medicine and the Sinew channels.

Movement awareness and flow serve as essential nourishment for our nervous system's ability to create optimal responses during rapid movements, jumps, and falls. By practicing deep awareness, we can cultivate different levels of consciousness. In the context of movement practice, this means that slow and mindful movements, as practiced in Tai Chi, nourish and support reflexive body movements.
