Densità e peso

C’è qualcosa che mi attrae nel pensare che noi possiamo farci supportare da qualsiasi superficie, nel pensare che qualsiasi superficie possa sostenerci. 

I fatti, molto spesso dimostrano il contrario: se mi appoggio a un tessuto sottile e vaporoso è quasi certo che perderò l’equilibrio e forse cadrò. Al contrario appoggiarmi a un muro mi racconta, ancora prima del contatto, che riceverò un supporto sufficiente per poterlo fare. 

Osservando questi due esempi un po’ più da vicino, quello che vedo emergere sono due concetti: PESO, DENSITA’ in relazione tra di loro. La densità della materia con cui mi relaziono può sostenere una certa quantità di peso

Riguardando i fatti alla luce di questa relazione posso pensare di appoggiarmi anche al sottile tessuto, basta che il peso coinvolto sia proporzionale alla capacità di supporto del tessuto stesso. Se spingiamo un po’ più in là questa ipotesi possiamo pensare di appoggiarci a qualsiasi superficie, anche quando la sua densità diventa rarefatta come quella dell’aria di montagna. A questo punto, la relazione supporto/supportato può esistere ovunque, in ogni condizione, in ogni momento. Può anche essere reciproca? 

In questi due giorni esploreremo la gestione del nostro peso e proveremo a cercare volumi a cui appoggiarci in ogni dove: dal fedele e amato pavimento, all’impalpabile aria, all’imprevedibile interazione con uno o più partner in contatto.

Elisa Ghion Savino (Italia)

Scopre la contact improvisation sotto a un albero, durante una convention di giocoleria, nel 2004. Se ne innamora subito e rinuncia al fascino dei giocolieri in favore della meravigliosa pratica appena scoperta.

Studia con molti formatori in italia e all’estero, integrando la Contact Improvisation con pratiche somatiche, parkour, camminate in montagna e qualsiasi altra pratica che alleni il Corpo in tutti i suoi aspetti: fisico, percettivo, immaginativo, emotivo, collettivo. Considera l’improvvisazione uno dei più potenti strumenti di resistenza contemporanea, che prepara a essere radicati e pronti a una società sempre più instabile e imprevedibile, fragile. 

Nel 2015 fonda il duo “In remoto”. Progetto che incrocia la danza e l’architettura e il concetto di abitare. Un luogo, un corpo, uno stato. Collabora con Associazione Takla per la produzione di incontri di ricerca di improvvisazione radicale multidisciplinare. Collabora con scuole di teatro, integrando il lavoro dell’attore con lo studio del corpo come creatore di narrazioni. Insegna in molti festival internazionali di CI (Israele, Romania, Friburgo, Italia, USA). 

è operatrice di Integrazione Fasciale. Da molti anni organizzatrice di eventi di CI, nel 2018 fonda l’associazione CorPoetica e dal 2020 è insegnante di CI presso l'accademia di danza Artemente.

Appassionandosi sia agli aspetti performativi, ma ancor di più alla pedagogia della contact, considera un privilegio trasmettere questa pratica e essere testimone dello stupore di chi la scopre per la prima volta.

Per chi arriva in macchina 🚘 consigliamo il parcheggio Chiesa di San Giuseppe (~15 min a piedi dallo spazio). Per chi arriva in auto-treno 🚂 lo spazio è ben collegato ai mezzi pubblici (15 min) e facilmente raggiungibile a piedi (20/25 min).

# Posti letto

Per chi ne avesse bisogno saremo felici di ospitarvi ed accogliervi nelle nostre case. Se fosse necessaria ospitalità le notti del workshop (venerdì, sabato e domenica), scrivendoci una email e ricordatevi sacco a pelo, cuscino, asciugamani e ciabatte.

# Cibo

Il pranzo di sabato e domenica è condiviso. Invitiamo tutti i partecipanti, ognuno con le proprie possibilità, di portare cibi, bevande e delizie a desiderio per condividerle con il gruppo e anche di portare il proprio piatto, bicchiere e forchetta. Se ognuno di noi porta qualcosa avremo un ricco banchetto. Vi chiediamo anche di condividere le vostre intolleranze alimentari qualora ce ne fossero

# Terme terme terme

Dopo due giorni di danza, chi non vorrebbe chiudere con una serata a mollo nelle acque termali che ci circondano a pochi chilometri? Per chi vuole, organizzeremo una domenica sera alle terme (19:00 - 22:00, costo sui 22€). Per chiunque si voglia unire, ricordatevi costume, cuffia, asciugamano e ciabatte. C'è già un gruppetto pronto a convincervi, quindi siete avvisati

# Cancellazione 😿

Cosa succede se non posso partecipare ad un samurai? Nel caso in cui la cancellazione arrivi 7 giorni  prima del giorno di inizio dell'evento è possibile utilizzare l’anticipo versato per un altro samurai (fino al 31 dicembre 2024). Se non fosse entro i tempi stabiliti sopra, ti chiediamo di avvisarci quanto prima, così da permetterci di contattare chi è in lista d'attesa. 

Nel caso in cui non riuscissimo a coprire la tua assenza, non ci sarà possibile effettuare la restituzione dell’acconto (che verrà utilizzato per le spese di organizzazione).

Questa politica vale anche per chi si iscrive ad entrambi i giorni e poi partecipa un solo giorno. Inoltre gli anticipi non sono cedibili a terzi senza previa comunicazione.

# Prezzi 🤑

Community price, 100€. Per chi si impegna ad iscriversi a più samurai (almeno 3 nel corso della stagione) o per chi si iscrive al modulo di 4 incontri del laboratorio settimanale.
Early bird, 110€. Per chi si iscrive con un anticipo di almeno 10 giorni.
Full price, 140€. Per chi si iscrive negli ultimi 10 giorni prima dell’evento.
One day, 70€. Per chi si iscrive per un solo giorno (da verificare la possibilità con l’insegnante)

# Description 🥰

Density and Weight

There is something that attracts me in thinking that we can be supported by any surface / in thinking that any surface can support us.

The facts very often demonstrate the opposite: if I lean on a thin and vaporous fabric, it is almost certain that I will lose my balance and perhaps fall. On the contrary, leaning against a wall tells me, even before contact, that I will receive sufficient support to be able to do it.

Looking at these two examples a little more closely, what I see emerging are two concepts: WEIGHT, DENSITY in relation to each other: based on the density of the matter with which I relate, I can support a specific amount of weight.

Looking at the facts in light of this point of view, I can think of also relying on thin fabric, as long as the weight involved is proportional to the support capacity of the tent itself. If we push this hypothesis a little further we can think of leaning on any surface, even when its density becomes rarefied like that of mountain air. At this point, the support/supported relationship can exist anywhere, in any condition, at any time.

In these two days we will explore the management of our weight and we will try to look for support surfaces everywhere: from the faithful and beloved floor, to the impalpable air, to the unpredictable interaction with one or more partners in contact.

# Bio 🧬

Elisa Ghion Savino (Italy)

She discovered contact improvisation under a tree, during a juggling convention, in 2004. She immediately fell in love with it and gave up the charm of jugglers in favor of the wonderful practice she had just discovered.

She studies with many trainers in Italy and abroad, integrating Contact Improvisation with somatic practices, parkour, mountain walking and any other practice that trains the body in all its aspects: physical, perceptive, imaginative, emotional, collective. She considers improvisation one of the most powerful tools of contemporary resistance, which prepares one to be rooted and ready for an increasingly unstable and unpredictable, fragile society.

In 2015 she founded the duo "In Remote". Project that crosses dance and architecture and the concept of living. A place, a body, a state. She collaborates with the Takla Association for the production of multidisciplinary radical improvisation research meetings. She collaborates with theater schools, integrating the work of the actor with the study of the body as a creator of narratives. He teaches at many international CI festivals (Israel, Romania, Freiburg, Italy, USA).

She is part of the “Trattate” project, a group of dancers linked by research on the body and the feminine. Since 2017 she has been a Fascial Integration operator. She has been an organizer of CI events for many years, in 2018 she founded the CorPoetica association and since 2020 she has been a CI teacher at the Artemente dance academy.

She is passionate both about the performative aspects, but even more so about the pedagogy of contact, she considers it a privilege to transmit this practice and witness the amazement of those who discover it for the first time.

# Where 🏨

For those arriving by car 🚘we recommend the parking Chiesa di San Giuseppe (~15 min walk to the space). For those arriving by car train 🚂 the space is well connected to public transport (15 min) and easily reachable on foot (20/25 min).

# Hosting 🛏️

For those who need it, we will be happy to host and welcome you in our homes. If hospitality is needed on the nights of the workshop (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), write us an email and bring your sleeping bag, pillow, towels and slippers. We will host you for free and with a lot of love. 

# Food

Lunch on Saturday and Sunday are shared. We invite all participants, each with their own possibilities, to bring food, drinks and delights as desired to share them with the group and also to bring your own plate, glass and fork. We also ask you to share your food intolerances if there are any.

# SPA SPA SPA

After two days of dancing, who wouldn't want to end with an evening soaking in the thermal waters that surround us a few kilometers away? For those who want, we will organize a Sunday evening at the spa (7.00pm - 10.00pm, priced around €20). For anyone who wants to join, bring your swimsuit, cap, towel and slippers. There is already a small group ready to convince you, so be warned.

# Cancellation policy 😿

What if I can't join a samurai? In the event that the cancellation arrives 7 days before the start day of the event, it is possible to use the advance payment for another samurai (until December 31, 2024). If it is not within the times established above, we ask you to notify us as soon as possible, so that we can contact those on the waiting list.

In the event that we are unable to cover your absence, it will not be possible for us to refund the deposit (which will be used for organization costs). This policy also applies to those who register for both days and then participate only one day. Furthermore, advance payments cannot be transferred to third parties without prior notice.

# Prices 🤑

Community price, €100. For those who commit to signing up for more samurai (min 3 during the season) or for those who sign up for the 4-meetings module of the weekly lab.
Early birds, €110. For those who register at least 10 days in advance.
Full price, €140. For those who register in the last 10 days before the event.
One day, €70. For those who enroll for just one day (to check the possibility with the teacher)
