After a body-oriented warm-up, we will practice some predetermined partner movements. Afterwards, we will train the direct, physical communication and interaction of the forces from our own dance with those from the dance of the partner(s), which create a synergy, i.e. promote each other. The improvisations can go into great detail, become sensory and fluid, sometimes acrobatic and dynamic. Our spontaneous, visceral creativity is encouraged – a creativity that comes not from the cognitive but from the physical or instinctive, and thus is not so subject to mental filtering and censorship. Our actions and reactions become less and less predictable and surprising in the most pleasant sense, and our reaction time is also shortened, but at the same time our movements remain legible, transparent and expressive.
