It is with tremendous enthusiasm that we present to you this retreat created with much love and dedication!

Tatami Dance Retreat will be a space-time of co-existence to immerse ourselves in the exploration of somatic practices that feed our dances, with Contact Improvisation being at the very core of the proposal.

We have designed a programme that will allow us to enjoy moments of shared study, receiving the material brought by our 7 facilitators and, at the same time, we will all have ample time to improvise the dance, rest, swim in the pool, walk and contemplate the sea…

From September 5th to 8th, we will be honoured with a total of 6 sessions of 3 hours each: 2-hour Capsules, which will precede and inspire our improvisations in the 1-hour Jams that will follow. On Sept 6th, 7th and 8th we will start the day with a session of somatic practices guided by Marta Iucci. All of them will have simultaneous English/Spanish translation. The Retreat will begin on Thursday the 5th at 3 pm. and will finish on Sunday the 8th at 3 pm, right after lunch.

Every night, after dinner, we will continue dancing at the Jams with live music. Some of these Jams will be open to people from the dance community who are not part of the Retreat.
