The DC Sunday Jam monthly Underscore
The DC Sunday jam practices an Underscore on the first Sunday of each month. (We have a one hour class then open jam on all the other Sundays.) We started in December, 2003 and have held one on the first Sunday of almost every month since. The Underscore provides some newcomer orientation and helps foster the jam for all, new and experienced.

Rooted in the United States capital, Washington D.C., Dance Place supports movement artists by creating opportunities for creative development, performance, and education. By investing deeply in artists and centering those who have been systemically excluded from such opportunities, we strengthen the dance field.
Starting in 2022 the DC Contact Improv Sunday jam has been holding a class and jam weekly at Dance Place, as part of their adult class schedule.
