Dance Improvisation im Water & Studio
The fluid world can teach us the art of ease, adaptation and receptivity in action. The dance of water is showing us how to soften, to breathe in gesture and to surrender with grace.
In this workshop, you will be invited to dance in the present moment and to explore your personal and living relationship to aquatic movement.
I will not propose a technical approach, but rather give you tools to dance yourself deep. Somatic explorations, embodiment practices and meditative inquiries in the warm pool and in the studio will be doorways to liven up your body and raise your sensory awareness. Alone, in duets or in the group, you will nourish yourself through touch, movement and playful interactions.
You will be invited to go on your own quest, to travel with your questions and dance them with your partners during lab times. There will be space for self-reflection, for try out and enjoying failures with laughs. You will have time to rest, digest and harvest your personal process. Jam evenings will invite you to melt together in the silence of meditation, inhaling the time that unfolds infinitely in every cell. And also to reconnect to your animal instinct and to whatever wants to express more fully in your life.

Aquatic Bodywaves is a somatic experience in warm water, a holistic therapy leading to a deep personal journey. Consisting of presence, touch and impulses, Aquatic Bodywaves is an improvised water dance in partnership. During an “Aquatic Bodywaves” session the giver connects with the receiver either totally passive or slightly interactive, inviting him/her into waves, spirals, massage and resting postures. The exploration often leads to deep relaxation and emotional release.
For whom? The “Aquatic Bodywaves” training is designed for water dancers or bodyworkers who would like to develop and deepen their skills in giving individual water sessions. To participate, you need to have basic skills in water dancing (e.g. aquatic contact improvisation, Aguahara, etc.) or experience in other forms of bodywork.
