In 2007 my first timid acquaintance with contact improvisation took place.

In 2009 I was a psychologist and a growing business coach. I led groups of Holotropic Breathwork, Psychedelic Experiences and Body Oriented Practices.

In 2011, it dawned on me. I decided to devote all my time to contact improvisation. I began to devote all my attention only to the study of movement.

I spent a lot of time in independent research, without teachers, collecting information bit by bit. I spent one year crawling in the gym for 6 hours a day. Everything was interesting to me, I got acquainted with Somatics, Authentic Movement, Presence and Performance. I had a gang of like-minded people who for some reason agreed to all my strange experiments. Although, it looked very little like a dance at first.

A significant event for me was the acquaintance with the "Ideokinesis" method and with Ilya Belenkov, who turned this approach into something beyond the usual notions of working with the body. This is a brilliant dancer who gave me a huge number of ideas about what dance and contact improvisation should be.

Then, in 2015 another significant event happened - meeting Sasha Dodo and participation in his creative residence "Art Continuum", then I saw how beautiful may be the process of creating an art movie. And I imbued with love for the filming process.

At the same time, I finally got acquainted with some principles of Axis Syllabus with the help of Igor Khalizev, he invented his own system out of the exercises from it.

There were also other important meetings with Katya Basalaeva, Mirva Makinen, Otto Akkinen, Bruno Kavern and other well-known and not very well-known masters of their craft.

In 2015 I’ve started a project, Jam Festival "Two Days To Dance". People come from different parts of the country just to dance for 10 hours, two days of contact. Every time in a new city. Each festival attracts from 50 to 120 people. It has become a real magic and an experience of my life for 6 years. We held more than 40 events, now I have even lost count. Perhaps this became one of the brightest contact events in Russia. Between festivals, I regularly hold labs, classes and other festivals. Projects last from several days to three months. But the main love of mine remains with "Two Days To Dance".

The last few years have changed me a lot. I’ve distanced myself a little from the subtle vibrations. Now I like movement by itself, without too deep meaning. I am interested in acrobatics, I am learning parkour little by little. At 25 I thought it was too late for me, now I'm 34 and I am learning to allow myself to do it.

Now, for me, the beauty of dance is not in complete movements, but in an honest, open search and attempts at this movement.

I have developed my own method of teaching contact improvisation, movement and bodywork. Once my friend and I came up with it and called it "Spherokinesis". In work as a tool we use ordinary inflatable balls. And it turned out to be an incredible tool for teaching the basics much faster. Apart from the basics, this provided interesting clues for advanced dancers as well. Perhaps this is what I would like to share in my classes, if the opportunity presents itself.
