A 4-day program with tent accommodation, swimming, having fun, resting, and of course, lots of dancing at Gargara Camp, just by the sea on Assos coast.
Morning classes, small group and one-on-one studies in the afternoon, evening and morning jams, and of course swimming in between!

We will study:
how to establish our connection with the ground in a playful, fluid and mobile way
exploring our connection to the ground through the connection with our partner(s) when our feet are off the ground
falling in 360° different directions and rising with lightly from the ground with support
playing with the social construct of the positioning of bodies in dance according to gender or size:
Bodies that are assumed to be fragile can take weight safely by discovering their strength through connection with the ground
and bodies that are thought to be large and strong can lighten themselves and take flight when they intend to rise

This dance camp does not require any movement experience or prior knowledge of Contact Improvisation. It is open to all levels.
While studying the basic principles throughout the camp, participants with (more) Contact Improvisation experience will also have the opportunity to deepen on those subjects and improve their technical skills.
