We invite you to a Contact Improvisation Jam in the beautiful
Komunitní prostor Smíchov.

6:00–6:30 PM — individual tuning into the body or LAB
6:30–9:00 PM — JAM (circle – lead-in – jam)
Where: Komunitní prostor Smíchov, Na Doubkové 8/2040, Prague

Price: 300 CZK (+ we have space for 1 volunteer. Please send us a PM.)

The space is open from 6:00 PM.
Come and warm up, arrive in your body, or use this time as a LAB*. At 6:30 PM, we begin with a circle and a shared movement exploration leading into the jam (lead-in). At 6:45 PM, we lock the space for security reasons, so please arrive on time.

We dance barefoot or in socks, wearing comfortable, ideally clean clothes, preferably with long sleeves.

LAB
(the time between 6:00 and 6:30 PM)

The word LAB comes from “laboratory” and offers you a space to explore and experiment with any questions or topics that interest you in relation to Contact Improvisation (CI).

LABs are open to everyone, and we especially recommend them if you are new to CI. You can explore on your own or approach someone from our team. We will be happy to spend some time with you.

For us, in Contact Improvisation, movement emerges from inner bodily awareness, from listening to ourselves, our partner, and the space around us. From this, a jointly created movement arises, while at the same time respecting our own autonomy and that of everyone involved. 😊

We wish to create a safe and nourishing space at our JAMs — a field that we hold together, where we can open ourselves to the intelligence of our bodies, explore and experience their movement possibilities and creativity.
