What: Working with directing our attention we will continue to refine the ability to be present with ourselves, our partners and the dance that arises

Balancing the excitement of moving and connecting with the calm of presence and co-ordination we will aim to enjoy the experience of momentum, pressure, support, weightbearing and movement more fully

I will be drawing from my experience in practising and teaching Alexander work, instant composition and Contact Improvisation

I am interested in how we can influence our movement and state by how and what we give attention to. We will practise being receptive to our sensory experience, particularly vision and proprioception, and we will practise ‘not doing’ some of what arises automatically in order to access more possibility in both our choices and the creative co-incidences that arise in a group. The ability to refrain from habitual expectations and comparisons supports us to extend our own limits and create dances and experiences that can be fully appreciated.

Each participant is invited to participate according to their own ability and energy

Attend both Friday and Saturday or either day
