Improvising – dancing – exploring – rolling – falling – jumping – hopping – playful wrestling, powerful, dynamic, creative, gentle – a source of inspiration inside and outside with yourself and others in CONTACT

On these open evenings, we will explore 1-2 of the basic principles (such as giving and taking weight, counterbalance, rolling point, falling, rolling, leading-following, getting into the flow, etc.), research, learn some techniques, dance, and improvise.

Contact improvisation is a form of dance that was developed in the USA in the 1970s and is based on democratic, improvisational, and exploratory principles. It is a dance in which two or more people move together in a variety of ways. It is an attentive, creative, and spontaneous process. Contact improvisation is a dance that can be athletic, powerful, light, sensual, combative, playful, energetic, funny, serious, poetic, or gentle.
In contact with other dancers, we will experiment with these possibilities.
It offers you the opportunity to engage with something new and unknown and to get to know your experiences with this dance form.
In a balance of tension and relaxation, we challenge our bodies as much as we pamper them.

Certified dance and movement teacher, systemic process facilitation/experiential education, water work, Kampfesspiele® instructor.
Muriel is an enthusiastic contact improvisation dancer who stands out for her bold, playful, and
dynamic qualities.
Joyful dancing, games, experimenting with physical strength, discovering extremes and limits, rhythm, music, and “flow” are the most important aspects of her teaching and dancing. In her lessons, she offers a balance between technique, improvisation tasks, and sensitive perception and awareness exercises.
