Holistic Dance is an invitation to transformation through dance, movement and touch. We work with a dynamic, cross-method approach from dance pedagogical, dance- and body therapeutic, systemic and holistic methods. Authentic Movement Plus, Contact Improvisation, Somatics & Applied Anatomy, Contemporary Dance Improvisation, Ecosomatics and many other elements can be found in this approach.

The workshop:

An embodied journey where movement, stillness, and conscious touch meet. This workshop blends Authentic Movement and somatics with craniosacral- and Nuad Thai-inspired bodywork to awaken the body’s innate intelligence and invite deep listening from within.

We transition from Somatic movement practices to partner-based bodywork grounded in craniosacral work’s gentleness and depth as well as Nuad Thai’s rhythmic and flowy qualities, and into the practice of Authentic Movement. We will explore the body as a landscape of sensation, emotion, and intuitive expression. Authentic Movement will provide a container for unfiltered movement to arise in response to inner impulses, witnessed in a non-judgmental way. Sitting in a circle enables us to practice being deeply present with ourselves and each other.

What we will explore:

• A felt sense of embodiment and grounded presence

• Tools to listen and respond to our body’s inner stories

• Experience in giving and receiving intuitive, healing touch

• A deepening capacity for presence with each other - being with ourself and others with sensitivity and care

• Exploring the art of moving, witnessing, speaking and touching from a place of non-judgement
