This intense workshop consists of 3 consecutive days building upon each other, using a structured step-by-step, easy to follow along approach. We will start with the basic principles of the beautiful art-form of Contact Improvisation, such as "grounding", "sharing weight" and "rolling point of contact", followed by exploring rolling on the floor (our best friend), as well as gliding on the hips and flying on the shoulders of our partner on the final day. We will have a little "jam" on Saturday evening, a social event to research and practice freely with each other.

We will focus on how to efficiently use the body as a physical object in space, playfully exploring different possibilities and move as smooth, precise and safe as possible. Furthermore, we will also research how two bodies communicate non-verbally while improvising, listening to each other and negotiating with each other; learning how to surrender and trust your partner, yourself and the moment. Both of those aspects will be supported by many group exercises to create a safe container for free expression, and also to fail fantastically now and then ;)

At the end of the workshop, you hopefully will have a 360-degrees embodied experience of what CI can be and what it means to you.
