Marie Chabert

Marie is a performer, choreographer, teacher and massage therapist.


Through these embodied practices, she investigates the Bodymind via an experiential, artistic and somatic perspective. 

She has an extensive background in contemporary dance, contact improvisation and multi-disciplinary work, having worked with companies and groups of artists on a global scale.

She regularly teaches contact improvisation and improvisation classes at The Place and the London Contemporary Dance School.

She recently obtained a master in Creative practice from Trinity Laban and Independent Dance. 


She is the co-founder of PeMa Art with Pete Guy Spencer. Together they teach Contact Improvisation for festivals and organise workshops in London and Germany (The liberating 'no', Breath and spirals, Fascia work, The poetry of being...) . Their current work ‘UnDone’ will be premiered in Freiburg in May 2022.
