Embodying Contact Improvisation

Our body, its infinite inner movements, tonuses, softnesses and rigidities are our starting and ending points.
Create and build up an inside network so to navigate in three dimensional space together with other bodies and let the amazing abilities of our senses guide us.
Play, melt, surprise and inspirate ourselves, getting inspirations from others, through our bodies. Going into the unknown where intimacy, acrobatics, disorientation and life endless transformative resources prevails.

Year long course

If you want to know what is your potential in Contact Improvisation and you really want to grow in it together, we will all commit for a year.

3 trimester / seasons :
those three processes will be focused in the back ground
first trismester :
foundations of CI /
modulating tone (bones and organs), embodying earth, yielding, softening tissues while rolling... pushing
second trimester:
the art of touch /
acknowledging body in time/space (skin and proprioception), cellular breathing, reaching out and in, travelling through duets/solo/collective
third trismester:
falling into touching /
disorientation inside spiraling (connective tissues) , challenging dynamics, flying while not knowing

You can commit for one trimestee with a discount price:
jan 11 - marc 29 / 13 class / 45500 Ft
apr 5 - june 21 / 12 class / 42000 Ft
one semester : 84000 Ft.
One class: 4500 Ft.

Regardless of the pandemic the course fee will not be refunded.

Teachers:

Grégory Chevalier, I practise Contact Improvisation for 13 years and teach for 8 years. I graduated from the Holistic dance institute in 2012 and learnt Body Mind Centering with Kálmán Ferenc for 5 years. I had the chance to learn from first generation Contact Improvisation pioneers like Nancy Stark Smith, Daniel Lepkoff, Nita Little and Andrew Harwood.

I started my regular practice of Contact Improvisation in 2016 (ISLO: Education in Dance and Somatics) and letting myself be more and more involved with it ever since. I am dancing at festivals, workshops, jams, classes, labs and currently studying at UCLan (Dance and Somatic Wellbeing MA) It is the quote “Contact encourages people to discover and invent” by which I’m the most inspired of in the past few months.
