With great enthusiasm, we present to you this event, created with much care and love for Contact Improvisation.
Sicily Contact Improvisation Retreat is a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in somatic practices that enrich our dances, focusing on Contact Improvisation. Born from a desire for deep engagement, participants will explore personal movement facilitated by three diverse teachers: Marta Iucci (Italy), Marta Wrzesinska (Poland), and Jesús Alonso (Spain). The gathering will take place in a beautiful location, Femminamorta, a bright 180 m² hall with incredible views. The island’s diverse scenery, from beautiful beaches to the dramatic Mount Etna, also enhances our practice with its natural beauty. Over five days, we will experience different approaches to Contact Improvisation, fostering shared learning and growth. This retreat not only deepens our practice but also strengthens our community.
