So beginner super welcome.
We are honored to welcome Jo Bruhn from Servivo for an incredible workshop diving into Contact Improvisation. Jo was one of the students of Nancy Stark Smith one of the pioneers of Contact Improvisation and he is currently one of the the main coordinators of the self-managed dance center Servivo near Lisbon

The questions are:
What brings me into the contact?
Can I be contact without touch?
How can i lift or fly easily?
What's the game with momentum and gravity?
What are scores?
How can scores enrich my dance?
Our research aims to bring some insights on these topics.
We will get lost in details open up to new possibilities and dive into the unknown.
We will use as well rather technical work to forget about the rest and maybe enter ... the flow...

Friday 6th

Class 1 :"landing into Contact" / 6-9 pm

Saturday 7th

Class 2:"Flying effortlessly" (all level of lift)
/ 12:30-3pm

Class 3:"Flying high" (high lift) / 5-7:30pm

Saturday jam 8:15-10:15pm

Sunday 8th

Class 4:"Breaking patterns" / 12:30am-3pm

Class 5:"SCores & composition" / 4:30-7pm
Closing Jam 7:15-9pm

Who is Jo Bruhn
Since 2001 Jo Bruhn dedicated his life to performing arts in various facets.
For more than 15 years he worked with the company "mosaique - fire art and artistry" at countless events all over Europe. In 2007 delicate encounters with Contact Improvisation began.
Over time he focused more and more on this rich dance form attending advanced trainings festivals and workshops as well as a one year Contemporary Dance training at Tanzfabrik Berlin.
Through this he finally acquired the skills to go deeper into the different levels and concepts of Contact Improvisation and performance.
The intensive work with Nancy Stark Smith amongs many others ultimately gave him the foundation to teach and to integrate CI into his dance performances.
