Contact improv / flying maneuvers / fluid acrobatics
We will start with contact practices in which sensation and proprioception lead to refined
skills. We will work with physics and somatics that support freedom of flight and
expression. (Pleasure 㲗 Technique; Somatics → Acrobatics)
Aerial aspects of contact improvisation: flying, catching, landing, fluid acrobatics, deft
maneuvers. For the acrobatics. Everyone will work at their own level and will learn best
by building group safety and trust. We will practice integrating the flying and acrobatics
into the contact flow. That is: aerial interactions that increase the contact.
We’ll do some of my favorite contact exercises and current curiosities. Created or
learned over the decades investigation and indulgence.
