Trios! It can be so enjoyable and easy. During this weekend I will share my favorite tools and strategies to create ease and comfort to dance in a trio, or more. How to enter, how to leave? How to support the current dynamic in the trio, or change it? How to make myself available to dance in trio? 

If dancing in trios, or with more than 2 people, is out of your comfort-zone, don’t worry! We will approach fun of it step-by-step, exploring the principles also in solo & duet, so there will be lots of space and time to dance in duets as well, and build gradually our way towards trios!

We will explore the underlying principles of contact improvisation in duets, but coming towards configuration of trios.

Playing with composition and space, timing and slowing down, in order to sense more subtle. Pausing and breathing are allowing us to feel more, and drop into the moment. In trios is happening so much, that sometimes less is more, and just witnessing is enough. Dancing in trio is a great practice of letting go, as many times what you expect is not happening.

How can I re-direct my movement, change my idea or intention ? Alternating my body-tone and softening myself in order to fall ? We will research spiraling and orbiting, catching each others center´s trajectories, cultivating our ability to read the composition of three or more dancers playing the game. Waking up our reflexes and instincts. 

Trios can also bring lots of playfulness, care and inclusion. To be held with 2 people is powerful.
