Glossar

Fascia is the substance that connects every part of our bodies to every other part, an integrated mega system that provides continuity and proposes collaborative relationships. It gives us the elastic quality needed for adaptability and strength of Contact Improvisation.

Chaos Ontology is referring to the infinite paths the body can take in each dance.

Axis Syllabus: AS is a research platform and movement approach that offers tools for the analysis and training of human locomotion, observing limits and capabilities and seeking efficiency during motion. AS draws its tools from different scientific fields such as anatomy and applied physics.

Contact Improvisation meets Axis Syllabus

We’ll move, dance, and communicate towards Contact Improvisation as we’ll be creating a context inspired by how we are moving through the Axis Syllabus and somatic improvisations.

By exploring the characteristics and functions of connective tissue and fascial elements, we will connect our movements to the efficiency of the elastic spring forces.

Integrating biomechanics and anatomy, we’ll open deep possibilities for wellbeing in our bodies and offer a high degree of injury prevention.

Visiting our body design, we’ll acquire tools towards major fluidity, optimal elasticity and resilience and minor injury risk prevention.

We’ll study loading situations in order to build safe patterns in Contact Improvisation.

A focused training of the fascial network will lead us into an embodiment of movement anchored in moment-to-moment potential, shifting the intention away from the result of “a dance” and more toward the path and development of this dance.

Finally, we will activate these tools in order to build a dance within the unfolding moment. We will listen to our bodies improvising and communicating.

All bodies and experiences are welcome! Please let us if you have any special needs, regarding movement and touch.

Ona Fuste and Maria Mora

They have known each other by sharing the Axis Syllabus study since 2009 and have been working collaboratively since 2016.

They create Cos Fractal, workshops in which the work of Axis Syllabus and Craniosacral Biodynamics complement and nourish each other.

In 2020 they create Fascia; between order and chaos a communication towards Contact Improvisation. They generate practices around the biomechanical locomotion study and the subtle body listening, generating a global attention to the body in movement. Currently they continue to collaborate in the transmission and pedagogy of movement as well as exploring improvised language. They have been teaching in Catalunya, Navarra, Asturias, Galicia, Sierra de Madrid, Càdiz, France, Italy, Txech Republic, since 2018.

Ona Fusté

She holds a BA degree in contemporary dance and composition from SEAD since 2009, a degree from ISMET Barcelona in Structural, Visceral and Craniosacral Osteopath since 2016 and Biodynamics Craniosacral Therapy from Carme Renalies Since 2021. She has worked in different companies (Ali Moini Co, Vero Cendoya, Hello Eath, Protein Dance etc.)  And has created her own work in collaboration with other artists. Ona Fusté is developing experimental projects on somatics and Axis Syllabus, Contact Improvisation and composition. Teaching the workshop Fascia Chaos Ontology together with Maria Mora and touring it around Spain and Europe. Currently she is training in Castellino Pre and Perinatal and Birth Therapy, and working as a dancer with Mal Pelo Company in the pieces Highlands, Inventions and the new creation WE with premier in April 2025.

Maria Mora Alcolea

Member and certified professor of the Axis Syllabus Research Network. Diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Her lines of research focus on somatics, anatomy and biomechanics of movement. In the field of education and exchange, she develops experimental projects on somatics and Axis Syllabus, improvisation and composition. Currently  teaching the workshop Fascia Chaos Ontology together with Ona Fusté, participating in the Col·lectiu Free't, which works instant composition through the Soundpainting language, and the VICINI project with Federica Porello where she investigates the relationship between body structures, social structures and objects. Among her creatives works, Quasi Serenor stands out, an investigation into micromovement and microsounds with the double bassist Rafa Esteve and Ascendent, a dance solo that pays tribute to Pyrenean women of the 1920s.

Der Workshop richtet sich an alle, die ihre Erfahrung in Contact Improvisation vertiefen möchten. The workshop is aimed at anyone who would like to deepen their experience in Contact Improvisation.

Looking forward to dancing through the fascia web. See you soon.
