Mario Blanco is a Contact Improvisation dancer, facilitator, and events organizer. He was born in Spain and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires is where he first got in touch with the Contact Improvisation practice.

He has a formal education in Laws, however, has been always passionate and driven into physical and mindfulness activities. That interest has taken him to learn and teach Yoga for several years and to study bodywork and become Zen Shiatsu practitioner, before getting in touch and focusing more on Contact Improvisation. In the last years, he has become interested in underwater dance, a practice he has been researching and developing under the fantasy name OceanDance. For that, he also became a professional freediver, in order to share proper knowledge.

5 years ago he moved from Argentina and has been traveling, organizing and teaching in different places around the globe, like Spain, Portugal, Russia, Thailand, Egypt, Argentina, Turkey, mainly focusing on these two disciplines of CI and Underwater Dancing.

His main interests now are Contact Improvisation, Underwater Dancing, Authentic Movement, Somatics, collaborative projects and therapeutic work with trauma.
