Dance is the most creative form of expression and relationship through movement. I have been involved with dance, Contact Improvisation and movement for over four decades, sometimes very intensively and at other times less so or very superficially. During this time, I participated in an intensive year-long Feldenkrais group in Vienna, a Qigong training about three years and two year movement and dance teacher training course in Vienna and Linz. For many years, I have been exploring the creation of encounters through touch and movement, as well as the creation of dance and dance performances, through movement perception and CI practice. As part of the organising team, we host the "ICI" Innsbruck once a year with great enthusiasm.

In my role as an MH®-Kinaesthetics trainer at the University Hospital Innsbruck, I have the opportunity to observe and analyse movement from different angles. Often, it is necessery to change your perspective: where is the weight? How does weight transfer work? How is weight organised? Similar to CI-dancing. This can reveal potential resources for improving one`s own movement when supporting and accompanying people with limitations and pain. Through movement perception and the differences experienced, feedback-control-theory can take effect.

Allowing the forms that arise to flow, pausing yet remaining mobile and not hardening    -     that is dance and life for me!
