At this retreat, we aim to bring some of the South American forces into the container of the practice of Contact Improvisation at the Mulino, the "wild nature" retreat place in Italy.

What do we do with Contact Improvisation?
We keep dancing without music, we get into the tiny parts of the body, understanding gravity.

We stay true to the bottom and also continuously ask:
“What is Contact Improvisation?”

This is our motif question for this retreat:

Embodying impermanence, being, contemplating, vibrating, and acting from there.

How do we dance in Contact Improvisation?
The depth of physical listening—there is already music in the dialogue of bodies and space.
Again, recognizing the time we are in.

Inhabiting memory in the present moment, being in relation, reveals always a new thing.
Staying in what remains and in what changes—two simultaneous layers intertwine.

Is there a hierarchy in doing?
Are big things better?

Jumping and flying are beautiful actions, but more exquisite is enjoying it in a listening state where every centimeter is a journey.

Valuing small dances with the aliveness of all our senses awakened is also beautiful.

We are in-between:
Nature’s rhythm—river, mountain, leaves, clouds, stones, wind.
Feeling roots, earth, blood, the ancestors dancing, our teachers.
Playing at being light, celebrating, dancing, and being grateful.
