Wir werden uns mit Hilfe von Partner- und Gruppenübungen (mit und ohne Berührung) aufwärmen, die eigene Solo-Tanz-Fähigkeit und Solo-Improvisations-Fähigkeit stärken. Wir werden immer wieder vor und für einander improvisieren. Mit anderen Worten wir üben unser eigenes Tanzmaterial zu generieren, einander konstruktives Feedback zu geben und unsere Improvisationen mit einem Publikum zu teilen. Diese Arbeitsweise berührt Fragen von Performance, Präsenz, und Komposition und fördert Klarheit und Sicherheit auch für Praktizierende von Gruppenimprovisationen und CI in Performance.

Solo Improvisation – with a little help from my friends

with Susanne Martin (Berlin) 

Fr. 15.11.24 – Son 17.11.24 in Bern

We warm up with the help of partner and group exercises (with and without touch). We strengthen our solo dance skills and solo improvisation skills. We repeatedly improvise in front of and for each other. In other words, we will practice generating our own dance material, sharing our improvisations with an audience and giving each other constructive feedback. This way of working touches on questions of performance, presence and composition and promotes clarity and security as well for practitioners of group improvisation and CI in performance.

Susanne Martin is a Berlin-based choreographer, performer, researcher, and teacher of improvisation based contemporary dance. She presents her work internationally in solo performances and collaborative stage works.
