this workshop offers an overview to the essentials - depending on your level 

• Smooth within your own body - basic anatomy: where can I roll softly & where can I carry/lift weight?
• Mindful awareness - your body, the floor, the contact, the space, the others.
• Levels of contact - being ready, going into contact, being there, releasing from contact.
• Giving & receiving weight - How can I get involved & feel comfortable on both levels?
• Centre, spirals, helix, momentum - forces of movement & motors that keep us in flow
• Playful changes of spatial levels - on the floor, sitting, quadruped, on two legs, in the air on other people.
• Simple lifting techniques for improvisation - if you understand the proposals, you can respond to them!
• How can I stay in contact without physical contact?

Why Authentic?

In order to be able to engage with others, I have to engage with myself.

So often people enter into external contact before they have felt themselves. For me it is therefore a basis for a safe and beneficial dance to tune into myself first. Then I can connect authentically with other people. I can allow my body, my weight, my joy, my insecurity, my anger, my fear, my curiosity... to show up & be part of the dance.
